Uses for Corn Cob Sweetened Spread:
Uses for Corn Cob Syrup:
-
Pancakes & Waffles
-
Corn Bread
-
Muffins
-
Brush on pork for the smoker. By
doing this, rubs will stick better to add flavor to the meat.
While smoking, the syrup will caramelize around the meat and keep
the juices inside.
-
Marinade chicken, pork and beef
overnight for the grill. Use a needle and poke holes in the
meat for chicken. Use a basting brush and put a light coat
of syrup on the meat. This way the syrup will get inside the
meat for added flavor. For pork chops and steak, use a
fillet knife and slice 1/4" deep slices on top of the meat.
Put a light coat of syrup on top and let set in refrigerator
overnight for grilling the next day.
-
When grilling fish such as salmon,
brush a light glaze on fish before it is done cooking.
Approximately 5 minutes so the syrup has a chance to cook into the
meat. This will also add a nice flavor.
-
Make a delicious vanilla ice cream
topping, similar to butterscotch.
-
Inject turkeys with syrup for deep fat
fryers or smokers.

Try it on Yams
Mary Schrier, Cumberland,
Iowa
I recently bought a jar of your Corn Cob
Sweetened Spread after I sampled some ham that was cooked in it.
I thought I would tell you that I was baking a meatloaf in the oven
and as a side dish I opened a can of Bruces yams. I spread
several spoons of the corn cob spread over the yams and covered them
with foil. They baked along with the meatloaf and were
delicious! I would recommend it's use in place of brown sugar
in certain instances. I'm going to try it next on cooked
carrots.
Try it on
Popcorn
Marilyn Westropp, Largo,

I bought a jar of Krogh Family Farms
Sweetened Spread while visiting Des Moines, Iowa. I melt my
spread in a saucepan. Allow it to cool, then pour over freshly
made popcorn. It tastes better than kettle corn! Another
option is to use lemon pepper instead of salt.
Try it on Turkey

I
injected the Corn Cob Syrup product into a turkey with a turkey
baster for a family dinner. I injected about an ounce per quarter of
the syrup into the turkey and it came out perfectly moist. I would
highly suggest this product for any type of marinade. I am excited
to try the syrup on other types of meat soon!
